Natascha grew up in Winnipeg and rural Manitoba. Her childhood was filled with farm fresh ingredients and the homemade cooking of her family which is a mix of French Canadian, Métis and Eastern European cultures. As a young girl she picked berries for pies, made perogies with her grandmother, and harvested garden vegetables with her sisters for the family meal. This didn't mean much at the time but it definitely planted a seed...

Later in life she pursued a variety of disciplines including studies as a classical pianist and became a music teacher. She has lived in Geneva, Switzerland where she worked for the United Nations in the field of human rights. This was unintentionally a great culinary opportunity that lead her to travels in France, Italy and throughout the Mediterranean. Her explorations have left her with great cooking knowledge and a never-ending hunger to learn more!

Natascha is a self-taught cook who has learned from the best chefs that cookbooks have to offer. She often looks to her abundant cookery shelf for inspiration but is also a natural improvisor when creating a recipe. She has been featured in an article for Canadian Living Magazine's Cook of the Year Award and her dinners and desserts have been enjoyed by many.

Natascha lives with her husband, an orchestra musician, and their two wonderful and rambunctious sons in Aylmer, Québec. She is very pleased to present the services of Blissful Bites Cuisine and share with you her passion for cooking, family, friends and celebration.
